What a great day it was when I read the Detroit News and
discovered the wonderful touch of Diane Lang. I’d
tried lots of things to relieve the constant soreness in my hips and lower back,
but it wasn’t until Diane started working on me that I felt like a new person.

When I came to Diane, both my knees were diagnosed with severe chronic arthritis. My quest was to enjoy walking without pain medication. Now I walk without pain and as a side benefit my toes no longer cross over each other. My body can now keep up with my mental energy. What a blessing Neuromuscular Therapy has been for me!

I had headaches and migraines over the course of the last couple of years on a near daily basis. I had seen specialists of all sorts, had many different x-rays, MRI's, injections, studies and what-not to determine exactly why I was getting migraines and headaches. I even had acupuncture, all to no avail. I had spent countless hours in waiting rooms, seeing doctors and being studied by various members of the medical community again with no help for the problem. I was prescribed just about everything one can imagine to try to prevent headaches and migraines. Over this period I had spent nearly $25,000 of my own money on various treatments and exams, all with little to no relief from the medical society.
One day I was at my chiropractor and he suggested that I see Diane Lang regarding the migraines, I was skeptical. I set an appointment and after seeing Diane just 2 times I did not have daily migraines any more. I continued to see Diane following her suggested course of treatment. During the course of the next two weeks I had only 2 migraines and virtually no headaches to speak of. Within 2 months my treatment was complete and I was pain free.
It is rare to find a health professional that resolves your problem without medication but after just my second visit with Diane I had felt relief. After just 1 and 1/2 months I felt total relief, it has been a little more than a year since I last seen Diane and I have not had any further migraines and only a couple of tension headaches. I cannot tell you how wonderful life is without the daily occurrences of headaches and migraines.

Diane Lang has been treating me for a few years.
Because of 3 curves in my spine many of my muscles are either over-stretched or
very tight. My condition is permanent. Diane has helped me to manage the pain by working
on opening up tight areas and calming stretched areas.
When I complete a session with Diane I can sense the energy moving through my
body. It feels absolutely wonderful! Unlike most people my age with
scoliosis, my curves have not increased and both my doctor and I believe this
is partially the result of neuromuscular therapy.
Diane is also exceptional at offering little tips to relieve pain. For
example, she gave me a tennis ball to put behind my back when driving. She
explained how the motion of the car can cause the ball to massage sore areas.
I keep the ball in my car, use it often and find relief from pain.
The clinical service Diane offers is excellent. But just as important to me is
the fact that Diane offers her services with warmth, care and emotional support. So I look forward to every appointment.

I really do not recall how it all happened, but my right arm was still pretty much dead at my side. There was no doubt in my mind that Diane was my last hope before surgery. Surgery that scared me, even though this guy is one of the best Neurosurgeons around. After all the chiropractors, the x-rays, the EMG, the MRI, physical therapy, and searching the web, my arm pretty much hung lifeless by my side. Over a very short period of time, I had lost all control to move my arm. It would not move forward, backward or overhead.
The ability to throw or bounce a ball was gone. No Frisbees, no paddling the canoe. Trying to do everything left handed was frustrating. All indications from all the tests determined I had a herniated C5-C6 and neurosurgery was my option. I don’t think so. I was determined not to go there. Was I that stubborn or that stupid? What to do next? That was the 64 thousand dollar question.
Call it divine intervention or what you will, but a few days later I ran into an old friend. We talk for a while and she finally asks, “What’s wrong with your arm?” It don’t work I replied. “You need to see Diane,” she says. “Diane who?” “I’ll call you with her number.” Being very open minded at this point, I had an appointment within a day or two. I’m not sure what she thought at first, but I think I was about to present her with a very interesting challenge.
The first session was spent talking for a short while, taking some measurements, then on the table for what I thought was going to be a serious deep tissue massage. Boy was I wrong. The technique that Diane uses goes well beyond massage. A little painful at times, but definitely worth the effort. I immediately knew she took her work very serious. She worked on muscles I never knew where there. She was able to locate the muscles and nerves that were in distress, hidden behind my shoulder blade. She relieved the pressure, so the muscle could relax. If I recall, there was some ever slight movement after this, the first session. After the second appointment I could for sure move my arm. Very soon afterwards, I was 50% back to where I was before all this happened. Now I just needed to get the atrophied muscles working and strong again. Within 3-4 weeks I was probably 80-85% back.
Well, that was some time ago now and the arm and ability to do all the things I used to have returned. I’ve had Diane work on my whole body. She has me standing as straight as ever. No more leaning forward. My 25 years of lower back pain, strains and chiropractors are long gone. Now I only see her a couple times a year for a little muscular maintenance. Would surgery have accomplished the same effect? I really don’t know. I do know she has truly done me a world of good. God bless her.
